I would also like to hear more about this. I've been considering the E1 for my IE8s so that I may have tactile buttons for my iPod touch and I have a set of Triple.fis on the way.

If you are asking whether TF10 needs amping to sound at its best, then my opinion is 'no'; If you are asking whether my Nano4 sounds better with E1, regardless of which headphone I use, then my answer is 'yes'.

X1 though Im only using Fiio 5 - sold mustang mini^3 Ibasso D2 and kept Fiio~ all other expensive amps seem to have subtle improvement over Fiio~ its also hard to control volume when the amp has so much power when using IEM~

I already gave up on my E1 and went right back to my E5, i think its a better and seeing how the two are almost the same price, i would recommend getting the E5.
