I just did a factory reset and now AAC is there. This device seems to be very buggy.same same, really odd.
AND IT FIXED THE BT VOLUME. Incredible. Now I cannot go above 35 anymore, it gets too loud as expected.

I hope fiio can replicate and fix this issue, if my Btr17 doesn’t get to volume and I’d have to factory reset it every time that’ll be pretty annoyingI just did a factory reset and now AAC is there. This device seems to be very buggy.

So far so good, I power cycled a few times and it's holding.I hope fiio can replicate and fix this issue, if my Btr17 doesn’t get to volume and I’d have to factory reset it every time that’ll be pretty annoying
Looks to be a bug.
From earlier impressions at an audio show in Canada it looked like that was a complaint amongst the people who demoed the Btr17

the factory reset fixed the LDAC and BT volume issues for me as well, not the LE Audio though. I hope it lasts.I hope fiio can replicate and fix this issue, if my Btr17 doesn’t get to volume and I’d have to factory reset it every time that’ll be pretty annoying

Yeah same, I don't really care about LE audio so it can wait.the factory reset fixed the LDAC and BT volume issues for me as well, not the LE Audio though. I hope it lasts.
Edit: a new issue seems to be intermittent faint crackles and pops. Aaargh!

Sometimes it is better not to be an earlier adopter
True. Fortunately I have a drawer full of BT DACs so I can choose lolSometimes it is better not to be an earlier adopter![]()
I hope that someday fiio can have software AS good as Qudelix. That’s a solid company with amazing software support.
Yeah man, just wait for the Firmware updates. I got lucky with only some initial buggy codec selections. Volume is solid.I just did a factory reset and now AAC is there. This device seems to be very buggy.

Only complaint remaining @FiiO-Yellow is the length of custom names being way shorter than the BTR7

Hi, BTR17 output power in BT mode is similar as BTR7. BTR17 output power in BT mode is 300mW, but BTR17 has more potential. So your experience is the opposite of mine, in my case the BTR17 is quite less loud than the BTR7.
Edit: it gets louder when connected to the PC and PC mode is on., it seems to be quiet in BT mode.
@FiiO does the BTR17 output less power in BT mode than BTR7? Seems to be the case. Can you share what the power output is in BT mode? Thank you

Thanks, a factory reset fixed my problem.
@FiiO any imminent firmware updates for the BTR17? It's quite buggy
