Dear FiiO

I bought the BTR5 again, and I love it.

However, I think it would be perfect if we could program the action button to skip to the next track with a double click and previous track with a triple click like the BTR3K.

Please update the firmware to allow this option. It’s the only thing I miss since switching from the BTR3K.

Please please please please please please.

The problem is that battery in my BTR3K is dying quick. I'm so in love with my BTR3K sound that dont't want to switch to any other :). But the damn battery...
So, I asked the seller's service for spare battery, but they said, Fiio is not sending them batteries. So I'm forced to switch to other BT AMP/DAC. BTR5 is one of the options (probably the only one at the moment as most of your competitors are absent in internet stores in my country - very strange by the way :) ).
BTR7 is too big, so I'm considering BTR5.
Can you connect your BTR3K to your device using an OTG cable? Then it should use the battery of your device to power it.

Dear friend,

You could switch the operation mode via the FiiO Control app to see whether it helps:

Yeah I don’t wanna double click the volume button. I wanna double click the action button between the power and volume buttons. It’s like this on the BTR3K, so I find it weird that you made it different with the BTR5 for some reason.

if I use it as a usb dac on windows 10, and i choose to not charge, does it not draw power from the usb port at all? and keep draining the battery?
Yes, exactly this.

can btr5k drive iems with less than 100 db sensitivity from 3.5 mm output?

i disposed of most of my possessions. in the same way, I started to sell the dac i have in order to reduce the number of dacs to two. i wonder if i can use the btr5k for low sensitivity iems. i was waiting for btr15 but there was more time to btr15 e. i just use iems, btr5k can drive most things? looks like i'll have a few more planar earphones on hand soon

Don't quote me, but I think so. It can drive most headphones, including planars. How well is a different story. The most difficult headphones to drive I've used with it were Sennheiser HD600 and it did it well.

If you're thinking of buying the BTR5, which is a good value, you may want to consider BTR7. It has a little more power and drive a few headphones that the BTR5 cannot do well.
