Hey everyone, what’s your opinion on this? It’s priced at 10 euros on Ali Express.
I will purchase this one as well for 10 euros, I have faith in this brand.

I have been using the predecessor of this dongle with a USB-A connection for half a year. It works without any problems. If you can do without an app and AAC and LDAC, this transmitter offers everything you need when it comes to AptX. However, you cannot select which codec you want to use, e.g. AptX Low Latency, if you rely on sound and image playback being as synchronous as possible. The UGREEN automatically selects the best quality that is achievable with the connected device, which means that the latency can be higher than desired.

As an Android user, I have owned the BT11 for a few weeks now. However, I bought it primarily to be able to use LDAC on my PC and Android TV. Both work quite reliably, including the entire AptX range, but I am lucky enough to be able to use my wife's iPhone for any updates. And so I am eagerly awaiting what this dongle will be capable of in the future, once it is fully developed.

If you’re talking about @helmutcheese last comment he was talking about FiiO control app not the BT11 firmware.
Yrah figured out that must be the case, well let's hope FW update will come soon too as currently BT11 is a half finished product, not to mention that you ca get AptX adaptive dongles with pretty much all functionalities of BT11 apart from Losless for 10 dollars not 50...

Thanks, man, for this!
I ordered it on AliExpress for about 12 euros. Do you think I can use Alternative A2DP driver configuration software to choose which codec I want to utilize?
On Monday, I will receive the Creative BT-W5 .

I assume you meant can not cant, but the answer is no, Windows does not see the Bluetooth side of the dongles or the earbuds connected to them as it is simply seen as a Ext Soundcard/DAC.

That is why an App is ideally needed but Creative do not let you choose the Codec other than HQ/LL Modes for aptX Adaptive.

Yeah, I write incorrectly; I type super quickly and do 20 things at once.
That's disappointing I can't find Creative BT- W6 in my country!

How about the Sennheiser BTD 600?

Dear friends...
Thank you all so much for staying with us.

We have recently been preparing for the BT11 update and have been working on the following recently:
1, the firmware has been changed and is being tested, so far the test is better than the previous LDAC performance
2, The APP is also being updated as some new features have been added.
3, we are working on the settings and firmware upgrade channel of the web site, so as to add a way to control the APP for those who are not used to using it.

It is expected to be completed by the end of the month, or early March, please be patient for a few more days, thank you! :beerchug:

Hi everyone!

I’ve been a longtime lurker here at Head-Fi — for more than 10 or 15 years, don’t quite remember

I’ve got brand new Noble Audio Fokus Rex 5 with FiiO BT11 for my MacBook Pro
I planned use Apple Music with Hi-Res Lossless (considering downgrading to lossless 48khz/24bit)

There’re so much going on with codecs, compatibility regarding Hi-Res and lossless. So I spent last week trying to dive deep into topic, asking my mates at various tech companies (chipset, mobile and audio) and trying a bit of everything by myself. I’m really confused after all. Nobody knows anything in the end.

Another funny thing which surprised me, is that aptX LL is not Lossless but Low Latency.

(I know it was asked and discussed a million times already, but I want to focus on my particular setup)
Which codec is better for Hi-Res? For lossless 48khz/24bit?

Here’re the questions and issues:
1. While plating via BT11 maximum volume seems to be 30% lower than if connecting Rex5 directly to MacBook or iPhone. What? How to fix it?
EDIT: FIXED IT! It seems that there’re two separate volume controls when connecting to BT11. I just increased volume on Rex 5 itself and that fixed the issue.
2. Which codec family is better for Hi-Res? LDAP in theory, but given we can’t check is it 900kbps or 600kbps yet it’s better to stick with aptXs. Am I right?
3. AFAIK aptX Lossless is a subset of aptX Adaptive, sitting on the top of profile stack. If it's possible hardware automatically choses Lossless, but it’s reported in almost all software as Adaptive (it’s normal behaviour according to Qualcomm). But the problem is that aptX Lossless is just 44khz/16bit.
So if I play Hi-Res what in fact is being used — is it 44khz/16bit Lossless or 48+khz/24 bit lossy aptX L5? And what in general consensus is better?
4. AAC plays great within Apple ecosystem, but cuts highs. I guess aptX Adaptive / LDAC are better, but ready to hear another opinion

Thankful for any advices how to tweak my setup for maximum audio performance.

p.s. White color of BT11 for LDAP being in reality a light blue not white it’s SOMETHING. I spent a day to fix, lol

Do you have support for aptX lossless? Is aptX adaptive works at L5?
