So @FiiO, can you confirm that these will be available in both silver and black in the USA?

I hope so because I'm interested in giving these a try, but I'm not a fan of silver/chrome-like IEMs. I don't get the fascination with the trend, I mean while I love chrome on my motorcycle, not so much in my ears...

Honestly I've never seen an IEM manufacturer chug out so many releases... I'm glad that fiio have a chart with the progression of each model line because a casual IEM buyer wouldn't have a clue what they're looking at.

When will you release the FH7S? FH7 was one of the best FiiO IEMs, only treble tuning was a bit unnatural, but it was a really good IEM with the LC 2.5D pure silver balanced cable!

I already asked at Twitter, but I think I have higher chance here.

Will these isolate? The excellent isolation of the FA9 is one of the main reasons it's my main Earphone.

This look like they have holes in the Y in the back so maybe no isolation?

It's actually pretty simple

FD = Dynamic
FA = BA-Only
FH = Hybrid

The higher the number, the better.

The s suffix seems to be second generation

So FA7s is the second generation of the FA7

I was more referring to the various body shapes of the IEM’s… there seems to be quite a bit of overlap with the most recent all-BA looking like it’s using the DD lines body etc.

Yes, it seems to be even semi-open which is, with an BA only, completely useless and decreases isolation.

If this is really semi open, I do not understand the FA7s design at all.

I myself was wondering what the possible benefits of a semi-open design of a BA IEM could be. After a Google search last night it appears that the mesh is cosmetic only based on the description and that there is no mention of it being a semi-open design on the web page.
