Comparing the Q1 here as i plan to build a desktop soon, so the DAC might help later.
Right now using a monitor laptop setup, the Dell S2415H has a cool feature that's a headphone out, and the sound output is decent but not loud enough, and anyway once connected to laptop via HDMI the sound outputs via the monitor, so will be using the monitor output. The laptop SQ is thrash, thanks to beats audio. Hope this additional detail helped.
Another thing that id wish for is an improvement in the soundstage of my cans - the ATH MSR7, and possibly smoothen the high pitched treble.
So overall the requirement is to enhance the loudness, and improve upon the soundstage, sq by a bit. Which one would be better, the A3 or the Q1, Please let me know what you think. Haven't considered the E11k, since it does not have a 3.5mm out, only a line and coaxial out besides the usb. That may not connect to my monitor, which i'm looking to do for now.
