FiiO releases the new firmware for LC-BT2!

The following changes and improvements have been made to the FW1.4 for LC-BT2:

1. Added setting button operation modes and channel balance via app (the recent version of FiiO Control app is required for using this function);

2. Added holding the volume buttons to continuously adjust volume (available when the button operation mode is NOT set to "Hold volume buttons to skip tracks");

3. Fixed the issue where the beginning of the playback sound might be missing when connected to the computer via Bluetooth;

4. Increased the volume adjustment range for phone calls (up to 0dB, adjusted via app);

5. Miscellaneous bug fixes

Are there any plans to release a new version of this product? I love the one I currently have, but there are some features I find a bit lacking, such as the omission of UAT protocol, relatively low output power, a somewhat poor noise floor at high volumes, and relatively weak signal strength for the bluetooth antenna. I would definitely be interested in upgrading if a new version were to be released addressing these last three issues. I understand that adding UAT would require improving the onboard processing, which could cut into battery life a lot. As light as these things are, I personally wouldn't mind the added weight of some slightly larger batteries, especially since the housing is plastic. I'm excited to see what FiiO decides to do in the future with this product, as it is definitely one of, if not the best on the market.

I haven't needed to when connecting it to my PC. It's default connectivity type is USB DAC, so it will typically prioritize that connectivity type. If it doesn't do so automatically, you can try plugging it in and power cycling the neckband. It should connect properly when it powers on.

I am experiencing a bug where my LC-BT2 is connected to my Windows PC using AptX and my Samsung Galaxy Note 9 phone using any compatible codec with LDAC marked as enabled, but it will not switch between the PC and Android playback devices, only allowing playback from PC. I have updated the headset to FW version 1.4, but the app is unable to connect to the headset, so I cannot confirm what FW version it is actually running at the moment. What do I need to do in order to have the LC-BT2 switch between the two connected playback devices? Are there any plans to implement a source switching function like Bose did with their wireless headphones? double-clicking the power button to cycle between connected sources seems like a more reliable way to handle this function.

The LC-BT2 can be connected with 2 mobile phones at the same time. It is default that the two phones would switch to function automatically, which means that if the LC-BT2 is connected with 2 phones simultaneously, the A device would automatically switch to the B phone when it is paused, and vice versa.
But in the computer, the connection may not work the same. You could try whether it helps? We will also report your feedback to the engineer.

Best regards

Dear friend,

Sorry about that. It seems to be a hardware issue with the battery. Did you try to charge it via another charger and cable? If the issue still remains, you could try to contact the seller for help first. In the case the seller fails to help, please contact support@fiio.com about that.

Best regards

Hi, I paired my LC-BT2 today and then it became unresponsive. No buttons works. If I connect to Windows, it detects it as a sound device but says "This device cannot start. The I/O request was cancelled.

Is there a way to force reset it? It's not in DFU mode because the firmware update tool cannot find it and Windows would register it as a CSR device.

Do I just need to let it drain the battery? None of the buttons are doing anything.

Dear friend,

Sorry to hear about that. You could try to hold the power button for about 30s to force a reset. If the issue remains, you could try the method provided by helmutcheese to see whether the issue remains.

Best regards

I've suddenly lost about 50% of the power output on my lc-bt2. It still functions, but it is extremely quiet now to the point that it is unusable. I have tried resetting the device to factory settings as well as plugging it in to use its inbuilt DAC and I have also tried restarting it multiple times with no improvement. Is this a known issue?

Dear user,

We have deliberately designed the device's volume adjustment to be out of sync with the mobile phone. This has the advantage of subdividing the volume level for more precise volume adjustment.What mobile phones adjust is the the volume of the Bluetooth code, too small voice will affect the dynamic. At the meantime, the device side adjusts the volume of decoding and amplification, with less loss of sound quality. So if you want to acquire better sound quality, it is recommended to adjust the volume of the phone to the maximum, and control the volume by your device.

Best regards
I appreciate that you have made such awesome multifaceted device, I would hope you would re-release sometime updated version, though I understand that chances are very slim. It works with no surprises and exactly how I would think it should. One can only commend this level of sophisication.

Plus TWS are very easy to loose and - who needs TWS when you have 24 hours of battery life. Thank you!
