I bought a pair of livewires in 2007 (amongst the first I think), and have used them VERY heavily since then. I'm on the road for work a lot, and use them on plane trips. They've been perfect up until last week, when I noticed that an armature broke loose inside on one side (you can hear it move when the cans shake). I called them (the Minnesota them, i.e. livewiresforyou.com) to figure out how to buy a new pair. 15 seconds later I was talking with someone who set up my repair. (And, yes, they can be repaired for a modest sum!) I can't figure out a reason why I would upgrade my dual-driver set (I'm 55, and suspect my upper register has degraded from my 22KHz youth!). And even when my 4+ year old phones needed "replacement," the company is able to repair them. Sheesh!
So I'm sorry to hear about folks' experiences with the fidelity folks. I am writing this to assure potential customers that the livewiresforyou folks and products are both absolutely top notch!
