use a number before your name in the email ID to minimize Spams.

for example: 123.name@gmail.com is better than name.123@gmail.com

this is my observation..thats how spamming softwares work.

The spam received by many of us is increasing by leaps and bounds. Someone has to be answering and loosing a lot of money otherwise they would have stopped.

You have to wonder who would be "naive" enough to answer. Sad, very sad.
