What a beautiful setup you got right there!I use the Envy as Preamp with Monoblocks, it sounds amazing, was looking for stereo and headphone setup ended like this. The monos sounds amazing to but with the Envy I get more body, bass, soundstage, more organic, sounds just beautiful, just upgraded the tubes to Western Electric 300bs it just pushed everything to another level.
I would recommend good powercords and XLR cables to get the best out of it![]()

The 300B tubes definitely are in the circuit, and affect the sound of the preamp output.Anyone has experience using their Envy as a preamp for a speaker setup? Just wondering, will the 300B tubes affect the sound if used as a preamp as to my understanding the 300B tubes are power tubes, not driver, as such most of the sound will be affected by the 6SN7.

Too bad you live on the opposite end of the country from me! I’d be happy to lend them to you, but these are more unobtainable than most things, and shipping disasters very infrequently can happen.
I bet the Mo sound great with your vinyl. I’m glad that I am not interested in vinyl.

So shipping @ColSaulTigh the TM are off the table as well?Too bad you live on the opposite end of the country from me! I’d be happy to lend them to you, but these are more unobtainable than most things, and shipping disasters very infrequently can happen.
I doubt USPS, UPS or FeddEx might be just a little more hurried and ham handed this time of year.

I'm glad that I'm so into my T+A gear, that the only Vinyl Player I'd consider is the one from the series of my gear.I bet the Mo sound great with your vinyl. I’m glad that I am not interested in vinyl.
That one retails for 7k+, which makes it easy to say "nah, I'm good with Digital "
I thing the new Envy will be a beast in performance don’t need to upgrade for TMscan’t wait to see it
Me too

I have Envy in my artist rider but it’s really tough to say because it’s going through a club sound system. I also seriously doubt the club engineers have ever switched tubes when they’re probably cursing my name for requesting an expensive tube amp in the first place. On club sound systems it has great clarity BUT it also seems to give the EQs a little oomp without the distortion.
I first started using Feliks amps in my DJ setups about 10 years ago, starting with the Espressivo. It sounded sensational every time and I moved up to the Elise from there. Elise also sounded great in speaker setups, so great that my wife got addicted to it as a TV sound system. I now have it as a preamp to a sound bar and it’s glorious.

It has been in the works for a long time.Imagine an electrostatic amplifier...
It will be a specific block.

Once upon a time I used to live in Washington State and my territory extended down to Bend. Lots of fun road trips to be had running the back roads in Oregon.Too bad you live on the opposite end of the country from me! As for Vinyl and the Mo's, yeah, it sounds incredible. Still dialing in my Musical Surroundings Nova III, but vinyl + Mo + Sylvania Green Leaf Z0 = outstanding so far.
Once my wallet recovers and Thomas cranks up another run, I'm sure I'll get a pair. I just got my new desk inn the office and have been moving things around. The KGGG has a new home over with my PC, and the old desh is being turned into my vinyl station. New record racks are coming this week, and next weekend I'm redoing the closet to add storage space. So shipping @ColSaulTigh the TM are off the table as well?

Question for those who have tried both the G73-R and C3g/m on the Envy, which do you prefer and why? Going to splurge on one of the other, leaning towards G73-R because I had one in the Pendant SE and it was a leap beyond all other 12au/x/t7 variants. I have both the WE and Elrog ER 300bs and use them about equally.

I go back and forth using the Tele G73-R and C3G in the Envy with Elrog TM. I find I stay with the Siemens for longer periods so I suppose I prefer them. I could easily live with either. The Tele are dead quiet and the Siemens can be somewhat microphonic.
I suck at comparisons but @incredulousity has and uses both and will likley chime in with his take.
