I've run a 300B or two through my system, and I can tell you there's a reason I stopped collecting tubes when I found the Mo's. And it ain't because I ran out of money (just look at my vinyl collection...)

Only briefly but I liked them quite a bit. They sit somewhere between the WE 300bs and the Elrogs in terms of the sound.
I think there are a few on here with them. I have been tempted myself.
In other news I am insisting that WE replace my WE300b that still exhibits the popping and arcing. Sometimes it goes away but sometimes I can hear it very faintly even after about 45mins. That's not normal imo.
It's a shame as with the Grimm in my chain the WEs with Melz have the greatest synergy I've ever heard. It's really beautiful. That's mostly down to the Grimm though. That thing is magical. Still want some Elrog TMs so hopefully they'll be back on the table soon.
Anyone tried the PSVane WE300b Plus or PSVane 300B Acme?
anyone have experience with Linlai Global WE Replica 300B. $699 for matched pair / $799 for higher grade matched.
per the site: Since Western Electric is pretty much what all the hype of 300B sound is about – this Linlai WE300B replica is a 1:1 replica of original Western Electric 300B, can substitutes all standard 300B tubes.
I rarely bother with tubes that don’t require adapters. So many tubes don’t require external power, so why not spring for cheap and easily obtainable adapters, which allow use of a wide variety of better NOS tubes.
Melz 1578 are my favorite straight up 6SN7 equivalent, but I have at least 6 sets of adapted drivers that I prefer.
