Man, you must have had doing all these comparisions. Grimm is quite expensive. At least gives me something to strive for. I tried TMs with Quad Brimars. Excellent pairing.
Hasn't warmed up too long but man these TMs are special.
Right now I have them paired with 63' Melz 1578. This is the second time I got goosebumps from the TMs. Audio Euphoria alludes me. I get it maybe once a year or so.
Transparency increases compared to the MOs. They sound a bit more grandiose. I think the soundstage increases a bit all around. What I love is how the decay is handled. It softly dissolves and lasts much longer than expected. A bit more low end heft but stays balanced.
I hear no glaring issues with the tube. With the MOs I sometimes find them too bright depending on the tracks I play with my setup.
I think the best way to describe them is just "beautiful". The beauty of music is conveyed perfectly. These kill for piano and classical.
As @ColSaulTigh mentioned before most listenening pleasure comes from WE300b and RCA smoked glass, despite most technically advanced and sonically perfect is TM/Melz combo.
YMMV
