My Ken-Rad VT-231, JAN CKR 6SN7GT, Black glass tubes came in. Initial impressions are positive. Seem to be smoother without sacrificing any detail or impact. Still need more time but enjoying it. Maybe less glare or roughness vs the stock psvane?

Nice.
I would advise to get some socket savers if you're gonna start down the tube rolling rabbit hole.

It actually makes it quite easy to change them out. @Deyan made mine and they work well and quite inexpensive too.

The Melz for example are actually quite fiddly without them.

🙂

Nice. Nice cable as well. It is so pleasing even just to look at it. This black painting of the tubes fits the Envy very nicely.

Some has other tube amp in the background, some has coffee machine. 🙂 I think we've had already a coffee machine.

Thanks! It seemed to work out on the matching side. It calms my ocd haha.

Thats an arcade game for my son. It has thousands of games on it. Kinda cool.

Been without the Envy and Susvara for 1 week. Going through withdrawals.

Just plugged in an HD600 with Lavricables Grand Cable directly to Dave/Farad3. Think this can tide me over for a bit.

Will watch after coffee enters my personal system...but regarding subtitles in English, you can turn those on by turning on cc and choose the English auto translation.

How many hours on your PSVane? They are pretty bad until 200 hours.

How did you find this? By googling?

Nice guy. I bought my Envy from him.

He talks about the Feliks family, how nice to work with them. 3 brothers, one engineer, one product designer, one business guy.

Then mentions that it is a tube amp, built around 300B, super sound quality, one of the best, if not the best around the world, based on more than 10 years of experience in the hifi world.

Single ended structure, with symmetrical input and output. Very airy presentation. Opens up everything, like several curtains are lifted. No coloration, very clean and balanced sound, tube magic still applied.

It can drive Abyss and Susvara without problem.

Then he invites you to his shop where you can enjoy Envy in a listening room with Elite, or you can bring your own devices.

It is not cheep, quality has its price, but if you do not have the coin, you can also try the other Felix stuff there.

Not 200 hours. I’ll throw them back in eventually to get some use out of them. Also allow me to appreciate the Ken rads.

Thanks. The auto translator must have hearing loss as much of the talk was mislabeled.

I am not surprised, swiss German can be hard to understand and put in writings even with native Germans 😁

I like the wording: "The product can be interesting for the ones who want an amp for their high-end headphone just once, but properly done...."

I personally wasn’t a big fan of the Kenrads. Nice bass but didn’t seem detailed as I would like. Maybe that’s why performance is similar to stock tubes?

What other driver tubes are you using? Any ideas what you want next?

I might be selling some driver tubes shortly.

My 3 favs are Brimar 6J5G (quad), Brimar CV1988, Melz
