Feeling' yourself desingrate, by the flaming lips is usually the song that tops my depressive state of existance. 10CC, i'm not in love also sometimes flows through my eardrums on a lonely day

Anything by Sigur Ros, but usually the second track from their second album. Too time-consuming to spell.

a lot!!!

one that i've just listened to a few mins ago is radiohead: exit music (for a film).

it actually depends on what caused your "pathetically unhappiness". and which song you'd want to get you out of it or deeper.

also: a lot of nina simone's and some of peter gabriel's songs have that cathartic effect on me. kurt cobain or toad the wet sprocket can too in some circumstances.

I love sad songs, it's in me blood. Nothing cheers me up like a good sad song.

Beck's whole new album Sea Change - not an uplifting song in the mix. But it is brilliant.

omg dusty!!!

that's a song that captured me the moment i heard it and still does to this day. recommended to everyone to check out. also his "washing of the water".
