Theres alot of discussion about favorite tube amps for Grados (Melos, MAD Ear Purist, etc...), but I haven't seen much consensus on favorite solid state amps for Grados. Dynalo, Dynahi, PPA, Corda HA-2 MkII, Grado RA-1 or something else?

The Dynahi drives Grados to technical perfection, but I'd say it's perhaps not as "interesting" as a tube amp. I hope so anyway, since I'm moving on to an MPX3 SLAM SE

With the price they're going for nowadays if you can find one, I'd certainly try it.

2nd that. the current capability/reserve of Dynahi is magical with Grado.

I still enjoy the Perreaux SXH1 with the 225s and the SXH2 that I tried for a couple of weeks was a significant step up.

I have an M^3 with a STEPS that sounds really good. I've tried AD8610's, AD8065's, with an OPA627BP(ground),OPA637BP(L,R) combo sounding the best in it. I previously owned an HR-2 that did a good job with Grado's also. Hard to say which is better since I don't have them both to compare. At the same level, though.

I can honestly say that a Dynahi works wonders with the Grado line. PPA, not so much.

Another vote for M^3 with 627 (Ground) and two 637 (L&R)
