Thought I would throw out some random old school hip-hop references from middle school and grade school. I don't actually own any of these albums anymore, but they epitomize the phrase, "one hit wonder" to me.

Positive K - I Got a Man
Tag Team - Whoomp There It Is
Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch - Good Vibrations
Skee-Lo - I Wish

I think some of you aren't understanding the term "one hit wonder". Alice Cooper and Phil Collins have had several hits.

Mine would be "I Believe" - Jai

His first two solo albums "Face Value" & "Hello, I Must Be Going" were very good before he tried to become the English, caucasion version of Lionel Ritchie.

It was interesting to catch up with some of the long forgotten memories - the more so that this thread has been just revived after 5 years.
Where I come from the following were one hit wonders, most of them many years ago:

Morris Albert - Feelings
Gerry Rafferty - Baker Street
Eric Carmen - All By Myself
Harry Nielson - I Can't Live (If Living Is Without You)
Stephen Bishop - On And On
Jennifer Rush - The Power Of Love
Edie Brickell - Circle
Mazzy Star - Fade Into You
