For the sake of this thread the music I regard as holy, that is Funk as in James Brown & The JB's from 1962 until about 1970. I have this thing that I play my favourite music only once in a while. So when I do play it I am in sonic nirvana. When I am feeling my best, the long version of "Funky Drummer" with Clyde Stubblefield, Maceo Parker and if I am correct Bootsy Collins sends me into pure bliss...
Very hard to answer , so much music , at the moment really diggin Nils Landgren Funk Unit and Red hot Chilli Peppers
favorite of all time , a toss up between Rick James , Leroy Burgess and Slave ( the Steve Arrington Years )
Michael Jackson, as good as he was for me does not rank in the same order as James Brown & The JB's, Rush, King Krimson, The Verve and some other groups of performers. He was good though, as an entertainer. Just my opinion, I would even prefer Bootsy Collins sorry...
