I'm no authority on 1977, but I have to go with PF's "Animals." From your list, it seems like '77 is a good vintage

Thats a difficult year--I'm a big PF fan, but Animals was never my favorite. I'm hard pressed not to pick Hotel California, too. But the very first record I ever heard was Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell. My dad raised me on Meatloaf and Tom Petty--I feel he did a respectable job.

God this poll is depressing.

Imagine trying to cobble together a similar poll for 2004 in 25 years time... Do you think it would be cram-packed with so many obvious stone-cold classics? I think not...

I had to vote Marley only based on Pink Floyd having done a couple albums better than Animals. But that one's a close second.

I voted out of nostalgia. When I first got a CD player I bought two CDs. One of them was "AC/DC-Let There Be Rock". It took a lot of time untill I had enough pocket money to buy more CDs. So AC/DC got played a lot!

Thinking back to '77 I think that Hotel California got the most playtime at my house. I still have the LP.
