Love sharing what I enjoy myself. Also, try the AET08 for even more bass texture...but treble can be elevated on some songs.
got my AET07 and AET08 based on your feedback. Am using the AET08 now on my MM and indeed they work better than the ones that came with it. Thanks for sharing, love this forum :dt880smile:

And just like that, DHL shows my FatFreq package out for delivery today. Hoping it makes it by end of day.

Absolutely absurd DHL can do 3, sometime 2 day international shipping like in this case.

Can't wait! Incredibly excited for my skull to rattle.

Meanwhile they still haven’t sent me back my Maestro/Mentor. I was told Thursday last week, then Friday. Then I was told it’s been sent to the forwarding company and I’ll get tracking soon, but nothing yet :frowning2:

you're welcome, brother. It's all about music and sharing Joy. What I've discovered since then is between the AET07 vs 08. AET07 is very musical and you get the proper reverb from the Music. it warms my soul more than the 08.

Any comparisons with Xenns Up/Top, Variations, IE600 ?

Of all of the IEMs I've tried, I haven't been able to try any of those sadly!

Thanks! I will grab those tips eventually as well and try them out.

For anyone rocking with the Maestro Mini and is looking for a good tip rec, I’ve tried many of my tips with my pair from KBear 07 and 08, Azla offerings, H570, clarion, final E, Radius Deep Mount clear, ect. And I’ve found that Azla Crystals have the absolute best replay to my ears.

The Crystals are expensive no doubt, but they are quite unique to my ears. Wide bore, with a stiff nozzle + the material of the umbrella gives the SQ an open presentation, vocals are beautifully rendered, treble is helped as well with more space to breath but the cool thing is there’s a fantastic amount of warmth and the overall bass presentation is beautifully textured and the mid bass specifically has nice punch.

If you don’t have a pair of Crystals laying around, it’s tough for me to rec because of the price, which is a bit steep imo, but if you do have a pair, give ‘em a shot on the Minis. I think it’s a fantastic pairing.

I've held myself back from buying a Maestro Mini because the graphs I see I'm afraid it is going to be intense in the upper mids area, and I'm quite sensitive in that area...

I only listen to prog and metal, and that ruins the IEM experience for me. I've already had to discard many for that reason.

I don't know if I was wrong with the Mini or not. At the graphic level it is at least what it seems...

I would say you have nothing to worry about. I am sensitive to the 3k region as well and the ample warmth and bass from the Mini balances the sound out nicely. The treble comes off as a touch dark I'd say even. I'd say, buy with confidence.

The Maestro Mini belong to my top 3 at the moment. With just a bit of EQ in the 4khz and 8khz regions, these are magical sounding. Brain burn-in maybe, but I am not « hearing » the somewhat lack of midbass anymore as I did before. I don’t even EQ this region anymore.

Add a potent and high quality source into the mix and your basshead’s needs are satisfied 🔊

Do you equalize down at 4 and 8 kHz?
