Not sure, but I think the DD is upgraded from regular GM. Also they have different tech and internal acoustic designs

Also, my suspicions (and ears) were right; the GMA SS module is different from the GM SS module!

Hi everyone here! I just bought a KAEI Tap1 Pro DAC/AMP to power my recently acquired GM, but I found it to be a little "boomy" in the bass and reduced the bass impact compared to my own Cayin RU7. After finding several threads in headfi, I concluded that the MUSES02 opamp in KAEI Tap1 Pro colored the bass to be boomier/muddier and is not the typical sound I'm pursuing for my GM. Too bad that my current interconnections are also warm/thicker-sounding cables that contributed a lot to the overall chain effect lol

Does anyone here have experience with opamp rolling and recommendations for me? I'm looking for a cleaner, punchier/dynamic sounding opamp with 75-100$ budget for a pair. Thanks!

I now have the SS modules from Quantum. I believe the exterior design is a bit different from the GM ones. Would the internals also be different ?

Based on what Yeo said, yes I think the internals of the GMA SS module is slightly different from the GM/Quantum SS module. You can purchase it separately I think, try messaging FF!
