False K801 looks neat. <3

this looks to be an older headphone.

but i cant find ANYTHING on this headphone in the english language, and on some of the sites where im seeing these images, theres alot of "AKG K801" in the text, is this correct? and can someone fill me in a wee bit on these cans? they are beautiful 8D

The alleged "K801" is quite fake. And like Fitz said, it looks nothing like an AKG.

The band/strap, sure, but i can't think of a single AKG model that used that sort of strut arrangement. Even solid vs. wire.

It looks more Koss than anything else to me, but it's a mishmash really.

I don't know much about Koss headphones, but the earcups themselves and the way the inner headband attaches to the sliders both look similar to older Beyerdynamics to me. The cable and connector looks more like Audio-Technica though.

Doing a search of google images produced just a few hits. Certainly appeared aimed at the chinese market, which commonly skirts patent and copyright laws in the west. They call some of the products made there anything that appeals to their tastes.
