As a customer the progress here feels significantly too slow when this ka17 PEQ feature is marketed as complete and accurate.
The fact that it bricks by using your website shows that it is far from finished. Again, I would have much rather paid more for the ka17 knowing I’d have a finished product / support/ polished software. It really has amazing potential, it’s just not there yet.
To be honest, there is some controversy and disagreement within us regarding PEQ. Some people believe that many products of Fiio support PEQ, but it doesn't seem to greatly promote sales and there is not much discussion. Some people, including myself, believe that we need to constantly strengthen the application and improvement of PEQ in our products, and correct bugs.
Based on my personal experience with users, consumers in China generally believe that PEQ is not very useful. Users outside of China prefer PEQ.
Currently, we will still increase the application and development of PEQ, because the PEQ adjustment on K19 was outsourced before, and later developed by Feiao itself, so it takes some time.
From outsourcing to self-development, it is also because outsourcing only supports software under the WIN system platform and does not support mobile devices.
So, the progress is indeed relatively slow because we need to recruit qualified engineers again. In addition, we may be the only brand that needs to support so many devices and platforms. The workload is indeed very heavy.
However, the situation is getting better, and our PEQ sharing and AUTO EQ functions will gradually be launched later.
I believe everyone can see that we are solving the problem.
Finally, we fully accept your criticism. I am also an enthusiast and a user. Although we cannot create a perfect product, we will strive towards this goal.
