Its now fitted, as soon as BNC plug is connected for the spdif that offset is gone, both channels now measure 0.1/0.2mV DC.
Dac is currently running in, so far the sound is quite good.

BTW I built the PCM1794 version

Sweet! You're the first guy besides myself to have actually completed a working version of the ezdac! Congratulations!

Did you use AD1896 or SRC4192? Also, what op amps? Also, if you get a chance, can you send me a higher resolution pic? I'd like to post it on my website.

I used the AD1896, next thing I want to do is change the AD8610 op-amps to THS4031. try some different spdif input coupling caps.

I'll send you a picture although you'll have to excuse the poor quality of my camera

I'll also send another picture once its been put in a case

Any luck with yours yet jürgen?

nope, i couldn't source 0805 100r resistors locally, conrad just had 1206 ones which i have in stock anyway. so i will have to wait until i place an order somewhere :/

Do you have any 0805 resistors? Some other values besides 100R could work. Anything close really.

no, actually i don't have any 0805 resistors, because i use 1206 where possible out of convenience reasons... i tried to mount a 1206 sideways but it's still to big...

The EZDAC is SPDIF only (for now, anyway). Maybe my next project should be to design the EZDAC with a USB interface (DIR9001?). Whaddyall think? Although, it wouldn't be able to run on computer power alone.

Hi jürgen,

I have a few 0.1% tol 100R Minimelf resistors spare, they are the 0102 size same as 0805, actually better than thick film 0805
If your struggling I can try and post you some FOC if you like

I'm sure there would be interest in it Evan

may as well stick a headphone amp in there too

afaik the dir9001 is NOT a usb receiver. for <=48kHz i'd recommend the pcm2707 in i2s mode.
