Owing to the lay out of my hifi room the sitting position is a bit too far away from my Little Dot MK111 and i need an extension cable for the headphones. I've found cables for the smaller connectors without problem but the old style chunky connector, as standard on the Audio Technica 900s just doesn't seem to exist. If anyone can point me to a quality extension cable it would be appreciated,

I'm confused as to what exactly you're looking for. The Ad900 comes with a 1/8th jack standard. The 1/4 jack is added on.

I use my AD900s with their 1/4 then use an adaptor. This way, I don't wear out the mini on the end.
 
To the OP, I'm pretty sure Grado's extension cable will work, although it is a bit expensive.

Just take off the 1/4 adaptor? You're not gaining anything by using it.
