You should encourage those pros to post here and enlighten us. I’m always happy to pay less for better equipment

Trust me; people who take watches know a fake when they see one…
We are still very OT but I would still say that what you say, depends on Where you are wearing that watch.

When I was working in Kenya and SA already in the 80 and 90s I was adviced by people with local knowledge NEVER to wear a watch or anything else shiny that might attract unwanted attention, even in broad daylight.
Nairobi went by the nickname "Nai-Robbery" and only real fools would want to risk having their arms chopped off by a machete, which had happened more than once I was told.
I always felt a lot safer out on Safaris among lions and elephants than in the capitals of those countries.

I very narrowly escaped having my head crushed by a baseball bat when stupidly stopping my Landrover at a red light with no traffic, in Cape Town once.
Lots of broken glass ! but throwing out what little cash I carried in my pocket saved the day.
I never stopped at red lights unless absolutely needed for traffic reasons, after that experience.

But according to today´s BBC News the two robbers who killed a person wearing a 34K pounds Sterling yes 34K!!!watch outside Harrods obviously knew exactly what they were looking for.

To bring things a bit back on topic:
Rob recently told me not to worry about leaving my Mscaler in hotel rooms if I ever get to travel as I used to again.

"Thieves steal things they can easily sell and an Mscaler is just a black box to them."
Maybe?

But PGGB´d files, a Macbook Air and a Hugo 2 seem like better options to me ,and leaving Mscaler back home.

PS. I hope the risk of having my battered old Toyota stolen at gunpoint is not as big as it was for the person who had his brand new Porsche taken from him by masked robbers in broad daylight a couple of days ago in Stockholm Sweden.
But I did have an intruder in my house early this morning. A magpie fledgling came in through an open window but repeatedly tried to get out again, through a closed one!
Cheers CC

I didn't collect neither 6sn7 nor 6080 but mullard gz37, 5u4g, etc

BTW, mullard Coke bottle sounds marvellous. Even the normal mullard 5u4g(?) is good enough.
dac64, thanks a lot for taking the time to answer my query. I’ll look for a pair of 5u4g and Mullard Coke bottle tubes. As you must know what some folks are asking for vintage tubes is really beyond belief.

I also do wine and 3d printing rockets but I guess I'll just crap out all my photos at once. I'm 28 and I make less than $30k. year if you don't count the free grape juice. Recently left this all behind to go push delivery boxes as a UPS driver because it pays more out here in Colorado than it does to work in a restaurant.... Also, the vast majority of people out here in CO have been victims of a system that doesn't care about them drinking fine wine. As a buyer myself, it was incredibly frustrating to deal with people who had no understanding of what it meant to bust your ass or to be passionate for what you do, let alone care. So I left. I've been wronged over and over by the industry, and despite tasting a couple million dollars worth of wine, easily, it's worthless when I cant pay bills or put food on the table, pay a vet bill, or take care of myself.

Your most important possessions shouldn't be put on the line over your hobbies.

Sommelier, Astrophotographer, Chef, AudioPhile, Reefer.... ugh, so many expensive hobbies.
