I'm looking for a pair of headphones for my girlfriend. Unfortunately, since she's not going to treat them with care (and the work environment which is quite headphone-destructive), a pair of earbuds lasts two to three months. I tried everything, but it would seem each pair needs to be expendable, regardless of sound quality, storage options, toughness, waterproofing, price etc. If it's not water damage then it's some animal chewing through the cable or something else. If I can find earphones which are inexpensive and of acceptable sound quality, I'll probably buy four pairs right off the bat.
I also need to limit myself to earbuds, since in-canals are uncomfortable and increase the frequency of ear infections which isn't great. Not to mention bigger headphones are unsuitable to how the missus uses them.
I don't think I have to mention I am only considering earphones that are in production at the moment.
I'd appreciate any suggestions.
