Excessive perspiration any tips?

Ughh, what horrible memories you've brought up! I had a similar sweating problem for most of high school - seriously unpleasant, I agree.

What stopped it (mostly) for me was this Mitchum Roll-On anti-perspirant. It's not perfect, but it is pretty strong and most likely won't irritate quite like Driclor does. It's worth a shot.

I recently switched over to something similar to Driclor called Certain Dri - it has the same active ingredient, but less of it. I find that it itches for about 10-15 minutes when I apply it, and then it doesn't bother me again. Works great; I'd say it might also be worth a try.

EDIT: Also, have you tried shaving your pits? If nothing else, I've found that it makes applying anti-persipirant a lot easier. Better coverage, you know.

Ask your doc about sympathectomy.

I feel your pain, as a person who is constantly battling palmar hyperhidrosis.
Basically meaning my palms are sweating like crazy, most all the time. Drysol, no go, iono-what? nope.

I'm still trying to convince my doctor that I need surgery. If only she understood what its like to never use hands to interact with another person.

Cold showers, not kidding.

Benefits:
1.Opens capillaries
2.Flushes organs
3.Keeps the blood chemistry young and healthy
4.Stimulates the secretion of the glandular system

Start with the feet ,hands ,and arms.Avoid the genitals and top of your head and depending who your talking to avoid the upper thighas wells.Focus the shower head on your pits longer than the rest of your body.Gradually start with 30s.-1min. and increase the time until you can stay in a good 3-5 minues. When you turn off the shower do not be suprised if you feel warm. When the body is exposed to cold water the capillaries open and the blood rushes close to the surface of the skin pushing impurities out through the skin.

I recognise we associate hot water with cleanliness, though I feel cleaner, more awake and vital after a cold shower, even following after a hot one.
Of course experiment and see what works for you.Research "cold water hydrotherapy"on the net or "Ishnaan"

Please consult with your physician before beginning this or any new fangled therapy. And ....dont get soap in yer ears.
