Ah thats perfect. Thanks for the link! Having owned various "high end" soundcards over the years I have to admit the pull for a completely driver-less one is pretty strong but the reviews of the Nu Audio are so damn good. Decisions decisions...

It blew away my chord mojo which was much more expensive if thats something to go by but that was with my own ears.

So I bought my NU sound card to replace my aging ASUS D2X Zonar, and my computer audio has been transformed! My Logitech Z-5500 digital speakers have come alive! I never knew they could sound this good!

It appears that the Pro is only available in the 7.1 channel configuration. Is that correct? I'll buy the multi channel Pro if the unit has been upgraded even if I won't be using the daughter board. Is there a difference between the Pro and non Pro cards?

Appears to have analog architecture revamped with newly customized AudioNote Capacitors, tweaks and tunes by resistors and using new OpAmps with other stuff

Having hard time finding many good Pro reviews out there. Also, seems like just the stereo version has never been sold, or certainly has been unavailable for months. Would be really interested to hear any input from anybody that has had Essence ST/STX and has tried the Nu Audio Pro's. Especially for headphone use.

I adore my Xonar Essence ST that has paired fantastically for a decade especially with Beyerdynamics (990, 1990, T1) to my ears. To this day I still find myself listening to many types of music via Essence ST paired with DT1990 over my more expensive living room setup. But the am4 motherboard compatibility issues with Essence stx are giving me second thoughts about just buying STX2.
