Honestly I was all ready to purchase the A10. When I saw $3680, I still had my money ready to order. Then I started thinking about what else I could get for near $3700 dollars. There has to be a better value somewhere for that much money. Instead of paying all that money for a A10. I will get the Gustard X30, which is on sale for $2700, return my Eversolo A6, then pay the difference for the Eversolo A8. Doing that would put me at about $3700.

So for $3700 instead of a Eversolo A10, I would now own a Eversolo A8 and Gustard X30.

What really made me explore my options is when I saw they removed I2S, it was in all the spec sheets. So whoever decision that was, ultimately made me not want the A10 anymore. I could no longer justify dropping near $3700 on a A10 once, they removed a feature I really wanted. All those additional features on the A10 aren't really persuading me to purchase one.

The A8 is just a much better option for me at this point.

EDIT: Ordered my Gustard X30, great open box deals to be had. Now to find a A8 and get the dual LPS.

Reason for wanting a A8 when getting a x30 is, Eversolo streaming Ui is amazing. Love to use that.

There only a few brands that provide a decent build in dac, most of the time a external dac always wins that match.

so A8 with a decent dac wins easily from the A10, A10 is priced to high

Why would you even want an a8 if you’re getting an x30?

The A10 is very convincing to me and will certainly replace the current A8. In the end, even if I2s, it could be a lack but not necessarily, there is an isolated USB lady, OCXO clock, SFP Fiber Network Interface and many other things that make this device very interesting and performing, undoubtedly superior to the already excellent A8 but it will make a difference even if used as pure readings, with an external DAC. (and I already have a couple of DACs that I can combine with them) So for me, fun with the A10 in the integrated version (delta sigma) but also with a DAC (ladder) in combination.

Regarding the price: as the A8 sounds as good as a corresponding machine costing twice as much, the A10 will also do the same thing. Therefore the cost, in my opinion, is justified, as is that of the A8

Curious as to why you want to use two boxes rather than one. how big would the sound improvement have to be to justify it? I'm actually looking more for all-in-one solutions as I find that having ten boxes requires a lot of effort to modernise and upgrade the various components, whereas all-in-one solutions reduce space requirements and are easier to swap.

But most of the time the all in one solutions, don’t even come close to a seperate dac, ever! Unless you really go rogue price wice, talking about 4 zero figures.

exactly, but all in one still can be cost rationale if you calculate the cost of all your hp components.

agree, but all such devices also cost north of 5k and that's the minimum. if we take really cool solutions like DartZEEL, Soulution or Boulder or T+A, cost will jump to 20k min.

To give an idea, my last hegel h590, 12000 euro, amazing dac yes indeed… my external dac I owned then crushed the build in dac
and what is your external DAC? as for Hegel i consider it one step below T+A and a few steps below the big boys like DartZEEL or Soulution.

I am still within the return window on my DMP-A8. It would have to ship today if I am going to do it though as the window closes Nov 09. I thought long and hard about upgrading to the A10. I think I am going to keep the A8 though. I will add the LHY LPSU and a Holo Cyan 2 DAC (connected via I2S). Then I will be at the same approximate price and almost certainly have better sound quality than the A10. Anyone disagree with this logic while I still have time to course correct?
