If that store was selby then the price has now been removed.I saw it in a store for 1,000 Australian dollars, 570 euros sprox. I guess no one knows anything about it yet.

It was Selby.com.au. I can't find any other price. In any case:If that store was selby then the price has now been removed.
You’d certainly hope so, but I’d be surprised if I was the only one keeping the RS130 in mind as a cautionary tale re pricing for dedicated, performance optimised streamers. Released at about twice the price of their incumbent RS250 streamer DAC combo. Different beast, different circumstances, different brandI know. Just a data point going in the opposite direction is all.A Streamer should be the cheapest part of the 8 range.
The Fiio S13 will be priced lower. The Shanling SMT1.3 is priced at $999. I think Eversolo is closer to these brands than to Rose. You’d certainly hope so, but I’d be surprised if I was the only one keeping the RS130 in mind as a cautionary tale re pricing for dedicated, performance optimised streamers. You could try something like the new Eversolo Play or Rose 520. Both streamers and integrated amps. Also, will this power a set of smaller desktop speakers without needing an amp? Looking to get some smaller desktop monitors for my pc as well as streaming to have an alternative to the headphone amp.
I guess it depends on what you are looking for, how substantial certain upgrades are for you and also on how the T8 will be positioned price-wise in their line-up.Would it make sense to buy a T8 instead of an A6? It's just a digital signal. The value is in the app, which will be the same.
It won’t have upsampling, Eversolo already confirmed me at high end munichI guess it depends on what you are looking for, how substantial certain upgrades are for you and also on how the T8 will be positioned price-wise in their line-up.
From what we currently know about the T8 (LPS, isolated USB and isolated I2S) it seems to be an upgrade to an A8 used as a transport only, like in my case.
If they would add decent upsampling capabilities I think I would get the T8 and if they don't I will keep the A8.
I was already kind of dead set on the Gustard R26. I figured, for the same price, I can get a highly regarded standalone DAC as well as streaming capabilities in the A8.Kanto TUK has both analog inputs (RCA) and digital inputs (USB) ... You could therefore choose whether or not to use the A8 as a streamer with analog line-out to the TUK (A8 DAC active) or as pure transport using the digital out to the TUK (TUK DAC active) ...
But to be honest, in both scenarios the A8 feels a little overdimensioned ... There are other options (Aune for instance) that provide AKM DAC based streaming functionality and cost a lot less ... And if you have no DAC preference, an Eversolo A6 provides similar functionality to the A8 at a lower price (and a smaller footprint)
That’s saying a hifirose rs130 or rs150 is overkill too. And those sound better than the a8. (As a streamer)A8 is overkill if all you’re after is the streamer aspect. May as well get a cheap WiiM or something to go with the Gustard. Imo, of course.
