How would you say that these two IEMs stack up against each other? I'm pretty happy with the Etys, though I sometimes wish there was a tiny bit more bass (though the bass is very controlled, which I like). I have a chance to pick up the Shures for around $200, so do you think they're worth it?

Also, how is the isolation on the Shures? The Etys don't really isolate enough for me, partially because the only way I've found them to be comfortable for long periods of time is by using the tri-flanges (with the smallest end tip cut off), and I think this affects the isolation.

The Shure SE425 offers more bass punch than HF5 but it's mid centric and highs are not extended as Etymotic. The Sony EX series IEMs are very detailed yet offers deep punchy bass response and wide soundstage (new dome type drivers).
