I just picked up a pair of HF2s and I have learned that the headphones do not work on any of my devices. 
 
Epic 4g Touch (Samsung Galaxy S2) - Sprint
EVO 4g - Sprint
Galaxy Nexus - Verizon
ASUS Transformer Prime
HP HDX18 laptop
Dell Vostro 1520
 
I am getting the problem where the voice is very distant and the sound of the music mediocre.  On some of the devices I can adjust the 3.5mm plug depth (pull it out a little) and It will work better but that is not acceptable. 
 
I contacted Etymotic and they said it is a know issue that not all android phones have the same plug configuration.  Although they said they have tried an non carrier specific Samsung Galaxy S2 and it worked just fine.  Is there any workaround for this?  Comments?

Damn, you might have gotten a lemon. They should work fine with all of those that take a 3.5mm jack. I'd call Etymotic and ask for a replacement.

I got a full refund.  I will try again when  I can get a demo unit in front of me.  I travel a lot and there is a Etymotic stand in the airport.

Just get HF5s and forget about the extra control ring on the plug that's causing the problem.
