Was anyone brave enough to cut the plug to fit?

If so UL a pic. for me... the Exacto knife is in my hand but I'm worried that this is a bad choice... these aren't just some other pair of Marshmallows, they are my sonic joy!

I have have a pair of IM716s which are also made by ETY and was in the same boat as you with my iphone. I took a razor blade and trimmed of some of the plastic by the jack a sliver at time with a downward motion. At one time I ended up taking too much off and the jack became a little loose where it connects to the wire, but I fixed that with some Elmer's glue that drys clear. Don;t notice any loss on SQ though. Good Luck though!

There's no real risk in thinning the plug.

If you're so worried, you could buy a short extension cable and trim that.

Made a how-to vid on youtube. Seems trivial, but I bet there are a lot of people like me worried about permanent damage... I would have liked to have watched this first!
