I have a ER4P with broken cable and a fully functional ER4S

I am planning to buy a Onkyo Granbeat. I heard that Granbeat has a balanced output, so I would like to give it a try.

I found there are places selling ER4 balanced cable for around US$200.

My questions are:
1) Do these balanced cables work for both ER4P and ER4S? Or are they model specific?
2) If I put my unbalanced cable from ER4S to my ER4P, does it turn my ER4P into ER4S or stay the same?

1) you should ask this to the people selling such cable. we can't really guess what they are doing.
2) the IEM itself is the same for er4p and er4s, the cable of the "s" has the extra resistors. so yes switching cables turns whatever into the other one.
