I have ER-6i's that I use with my computer and iPod. Everything has been fine until yesterday.

I used the earphones and noticed serious distortion in the left earphone. I replaced the filter and it's still there. I tried other earphones with my computer and they sound fine.

Is something wrong w/ the etymotics?

Edit: The distortion gets worse when I increase the volume.
