I am completely mired in trying to decide where to go next... I had a set of ER-4Ps which sounded amazing but had those horrible microphonics.

Since then, I have randomly suffered through lots of different IEMs including the Ety hfs which didn't sound nearly as good to my ears.

So, has the state of the art for analytic IEMs not really advanced much since the Ety's? Every review I see still sees them as a contender in the analytic space, are CTM-200s in that space? What about Heir Audio 4.As or 4.AIs?

I need perfect extended treble, tight bass that isn't boomy at all.

The Heir Audio 4.A/4.Ai looks amazing, and I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on a pair when I acquire the currency. I've read they are very detailed and accurate in contrast to their 3.A, which is a more "fun-colored" IEM.
I'd definitely check the Heir 4 out if you have the cash.

The cash isn't an issue - I just want keepers and am always a bit wary of headfi hype on whatever the "newest" thing is...
