If you still don't care for them they might not for you. The lack of a "fullness of sound"/bass sometimes bothers me but it does so much else so well they are hard to disregard.

I'm not familiar with the K701's but I think Triple Fi Pro's can keep up with many headphones.

Thanks. It seems to be better, I think I got used to them. If you don't compare them to K701 - they sound perfect! So, I stopped to compare, and everything fine now. Not to listen to other cans - is a good advice in general

I tried them in the store today - quite impressive, definitely better then ER-4P, how I didn't notice them earlier... and they are very comfortable for me as well, the only problem I see, they are hardly portable, I mean, if I consider them as portable, I should consider DT770, DT880 as well - and they are even better in SQ.

Are you sure that you are getting a good seal, that is really hard to get the first times, but IMO the Etys are far better heapdhones than the 701, for my taste at least, more accurate and more detailed, maybe the bass does not go very low but overall better...

Something strange happened...I have no explanation to this fact, but after couple of day of extencive listening, I REALLY like them. It looks like they changed their sound...I'm not sure, but it definitely sounds better, even soundstage is suddenly here (sometimes). The distance from K701 is still exist, but I can live with it. I guess if I would listen to K701 for a long time I would get an opposite impression from etimotics.

Wow, K271S being recommended as a semi-portable headphone?? Those things are absolutely huge

lelek, what kind of source are you using? I find soundstage of my er4 increasing when I listen music from cd or lossless files, at least comparing to mp3.

uppis, sorry, but just can't help reporting the wideness of my grin upon reading that you're a Finn living in OK. I drove through that place once, and remember having to dodge all these little turtles on the turnpike. Watch out for those, and greetings from the homeland

currently out of my MacBook. I'm looking for DAC/AMP...

I noticed that MP3s eat soundtage in general, even at high bitrates, so I'm talking about loseless (FLAC or CD).

Thanks jaska, I'll keep my eye on those turtles. Oklahoma is is great place, but Finland is still something you can't even dream if you don't know what you are missing...
