Hey, looking a new pair of headphones in the $100-$150 range. I had a pair of Phiaton MS300's, but though they sounded break, they (and my replacement pair) broke in a matter of months. So I'm looking for a new pair of closed, over-ear cans with some solid passive noise-cancellation. Sound signature isn't terrible important, as long as the overall quality is high: as long as it's not overly bass heavy I'm fine.I'm looking primarily at the ATH M50's (original, I know) and the AKG K 271 MK II. Both are in my price range and both look pretty good. I've actually listened to the M50's and enjoyed them, which is something I can't really say for other pairs. I'd enjoy to hear your opinions between these phones and any recommendations for others.
Oh, and I'd like to get them fairly quickly; if there are any good Black Friday deals that put a good pair into my price range, I'm willing to order them tomorrow.
