Did a search, but couldn't come to a definite answer.

Can the EMU 0404 USB be used with the Shure SM58 satisfactorily? As in can a decent recording be made? I've heard of that there may be potential problems as the SM58 is a dynamic mic (right?).

Are the connections compatible without the use of any adapters (if no, what sort of adapters, and are they DIYable or easily found?)

Thanks for the help. Intend to get both of them soon, if everything works out fine.

Yes, it will work. I think that E-MU would receive a barrage of complaints if Shure's dynamic microphones didn't work with their interface.

All microphones will work. Dynamic microphones generally don't require phantom power, so they're even easier to use than condenser microphones.

The SM58 is a pretty common mic. IIRC the 0404 as ok mic pres, so I would be surprised if it "didn't work". IMHO the 58 can sound a tad thin for male vocals, but that probably has more to do with the preamp your using for it.
