I just picked up the Emotiva basx A2m flex amp. It’s a solid performing amp for the price. Sounds fantastic paired with Elac Debut 2.0 B6.2 speakers. And drives my hifiman planars well in direct drive mode. Anyone would be hard pressed to find a better amp for this price.

I have the BasX A-100 and love it. Haven't needed to put the jumper in yet. Enjoy.

I have a Basx A -100 and it's a great little integrated for the money with an excellent headphone amplifier as well. An unexpected bonus is how well the A-100 scales when used as a power amplifier with an excellent preamplifier. I have used the A-100 with a Naim Nac62 /Hicap and the combination sounds excellent.

I don't think so. At least not my BASX A-100 - it looked to be all discrete when I took both the cover and the heatsink off......Does it have removable Op amps ?

Too bad some sparkles lab 3602 what a really made a difference.
I'm thinking of buying the new a2 mini and hooking up a tube preamp in front of it. I'm curious to look inside I'm wondering how quality of parts are using for capacitors and resistors. The headphone jack on this and the a100 is crazy good.

Looked it up on the website you're right it's class a b. Don't tube preamps typically pair better with class d amps?

I'm glad to see this Emotiva amp getting some love. I felt that it had been overlooked.
I just have a Schiit Magni Heresy feeding the amp from a Schiit Bifrost 2/64. And then on the analog side I have a Schiit Mani 2 with turntable hooked up. Are there any preamps on the market now that compares to the Naim nac62/hicap? They are hard to find. I’m also new to the hobby, so any insight is appreciated. Older Naim gear is known to have a house sound, and is characterized by PRT (pace, rhythm and timing).
There is a belief that Naim's earlier chrome bumper amplifiers: Nap 90, 110, 140, 160, 250 and 135 monoblocks
(those which used the Holden Fischer transformers) had a unique sound specifically due to these transformers.
Of course, this is purely subjective conjecture. However, having owned each of these amplifiers at one time or
another, in my experience, there is something very musical about them. The same can be said for Naim's preamplifiers
from this generation. I have not heard any of the company's newer equipment, so I really can't say if the house sound
remains. And I can't think of any current audio manufacturers that have the same or a similar sound signature to the older Naim gear.

So I’m running some Hifiman Sundaras with the Emotiva A2M in direct drive mode with the jumpers installed. And it is magical! These headphones are now so much more alive! It’s like being on stage with the musicians instead of just being in the front row. Made this purchase so much better. Anyone on the fence about getting this amp just needs to give it a try.
