Shadow is silent with the SE530's (with no input), which is great as I get a soft hiss with the T4.

Size wise it is shorter but thicker, and marginally wider than the T4.

can those two amps even be compared? i've owned the T4 and didn't really think it was anything too special. i've moved on from it to the caffeine, which IMO is a better amp than the T4. this is off topic though, so i will leave it at that. and this was an honest question, not meant to offend jckp919.

I haven't had the time to really listen to it yet, so take this with a grain of salt, but I find the treble a bit lacking. Hopefully it will just turn out to be my ears.

Shadow #222 (requested SN) arrived today! Wow it's even smaller than I expected. Unfortunately, my only 1/8" -> 1/8" cable I had was a RadioCrap cable. Waiting on my ebay (Head-fier made) LOD.

So far I've listened to Anjunabeats 100 and Boston (Original US release), both converted from FLAC -> Apple Lossless and played on a 160GB ipod classic (not pictured). It sounds great, very nice open sound stage. I'll refrain from more comments re: sound until I replace the crappy 1/8" radio shack cable.

Photos were taken with an iPhone 3GS, so they aren't dSLR quality.

A key for the images: The flashlight is a Ra Clicky Executive LED flashlight; Battery is a CR123A (the clicky uses them), iPhone 3G, Apple Keyboard, 17" Macbook pro, UE cable end. Figured these would help give scale.
