Good to finally see the "top secret thing" from the detroit meet finally come to fruition.

While I didn't get a chance to hear it myself, I seem to recall some very impressive comparisons between the "mystery amp" and the stealth. TBH I am surprised its being offered in the sub-$300 range!

I need some moral support here. I got Shure e5c's about a month ago. I listen to my iPod photo with them through a Sik Din. I love the Shures, but having them has only made me wonder if it can get even better than this. Will an amp help noticeably? (I am interested in texture at comfortable listening volumes, not in sheer output.) Reassure me, please! On behalf of my wallet, I beg of you.

I had the E5s for ~1.5 years an used Ray's XP-7 (which was excellent) and a few other amps. The party line was that it took a higher caliber amp to really make the E5s sing (though I found that a maxed Pimeta did an okay job), so the Hornet should make a very fine addition to your rig. Texture at comfortable volumes; oh, most definitely.
