Emmeline SR-71a vs SR-71b
Feb 23, 2015 at 6:23 AM Post #2 of 4
SR-71B has has balanced input and output for true balanced sound in portable format in addition to its single ended input and output. It also has individual gain switches for each channel and unremovable rechargeable battery,

SR-71A is only single ended input and output, single gain switch and powered by dual 9V batteries.

I do have the 71B and think its the best portable amp in sound and size on the market right now. No idea on the 71A though. Never tried never touched.

Yes, you are correct. The SR71B uses Kobconn 4pin connectors. Basically called 4 Pin RSA balanced in most cable stores. Anyway, you can built some adapters for XLR to RSA 4 pin. Buy the parts from doublehelixcables or just buy a ready made adapter!
