Elysian Annihilator 2023

Well .... MusicTeck actually sold out of Anni 23. But there were sub 2K units up for grabs on Head-Fi classifieds. That's a pretty good deal.
Yeah, I sold my anni23 recently to a friend and boy I regret it. I might take another look at the used market to buy it back but the apostle is currently piquing my interest.

Guys, is anyone from the EU selling their Anni23 (ideally in gold)? I'd be happy to buy them

What cable is that?? Looking good!! My go to rig is the LPGT-2 feeding the Brise Tsu V1 into Anni23. Gladiator Virtus Ametis cable.

Effect Audio x Z Review Cadmus! I'm running these with the Sony ZM2 and they sound incredible.

I need to try/own a Sony DAP at some point. ZM1 or ZM2

Any opinions about Anni 23 with:

- Cleo II 4w
- Cleo II OCTA (8w)
- Fusion 1

vs stock cable or vs the other?
Tired pairings with fusion 1 and cleo II octa at canjam, I would say I prefer the fusion 1 pairing between the 2. The cleo II octa had more boomy bass while the fusion 1 was more controlled. Compared to the stock cable, they both are better, but its like finding that extra 5%-10% for perfection. Tried the flash acoustics venom and would rank it better than the fusion 1, technicalities were improved especially on the bass control. The stock cable is okay but as u try other cables, u'll find out the bubble the stock cable puts u in 🙃

Alright friends, I need recommendations for an IEM to complement my Annihilator 2023.

Basically anni satisfies 70-80% of my listening, however sometimes my ears crave just that little bit more articulation in the lower mids and bass. Certain genres, and records just sound a bit flat on anni and I'm on the hunt for an IEM with a superpower like anni has, just in the lower frequency range, rather than upper regions.
Something a bit more laid back, that can scale, and that has great separation, slam and reasonable detail in the lower mids, bass and sub - without being wonky and dark sounding i.e. I don't want a total opposite listen, just something with that shift in focus.

Also looking for a reasonably budget-oriented option for this one. Keen to hear some recommendations and also what y'all are using to complement Annihilator 2023. Thanks!

Is the main issue being that the lower mids are too recessed/scooped for you?

Which tips are you using? I wouldn't be surprised if you heard that with the stock tips W1.

I've tried a few, my favs by far so far are Spiraldot ++. Def not a tip issue; I'm talking about much broader sonic differences, and I love the way Annihilator sounds with almost all tips, but I do much prefer them with the spiraldots.

As for the question about lower mids being recessed - yeah it's kinda that, but it's also expected. Again, I love this IEM. It's easily the best transducer I've ever had the pleasure of hearing. I'm just looking for another IEM to complement that 20% of the time where I want something a little more laid back, with a focus towards the lower end of the FR as opposed to where Annihilator shines. I think I described it pretty OK in my first post there.

I love my Anni 23. Still the treble king for me. If you want something complimentary to Anni 23, try to give the Quill Satin a listen:

I complement my Anni2023 with Apostle. You still get nice air, but with more forward upper mids and punchy bass which creates really nice 3D effect.
Apostle is quite tip dependent though, I go for shallow fit with wide bore tips to get more treble otherwise they can be too mid-forward.
