Has anyone tried the eros s with the fourte?
Haven’t had a chance to listen yet, but it does make for a pretty pairing.

They sure do look the part as well! I just bought the Janus d yesterday, but knowing me I'll probably cave in and buy the eros s soon :L3000:

Thanks for shaing your thoughts on the pairing! Atm im torn between the eros s or my friend's janus d. He wanted to get the pw first times to pair with his fourte (to spice things up).
oooh thats the expensive copper cable right? wont it be too warm?

The first times? Yep, it should balance out the rather peaky treble of the fourte. Janus d is also a mixture of palladium, copper and an alloy (im assuming gold is also in there) so it shouldnt be too far off the janus. Though my friend has yet to try out the pairing since he didnt bring his fourte with him the last time he went to the store but he did say to me that he's still open to other cables and the cheeky bugger that i am have been telling him to go with the chiron or centurion x))

Courtesy of a good friend today, I got to try the Effect Audio Ares S. I personally own the Cadmus & the Eros S as well. IMO Ares S is a good entry point to the New Signature series cables. IMO here are my ratings between the three cables.

Bass: Cadmus>ErosS>Ares.

Midrange:Eros>Cadmus>Ares.

Resolution: ErosS>Cadmus=Ares.

Spaciousness & Staging: Eros S>Cadmus=Ares.

Smoothens Treble: Cadmus>Ares>Eros.

Not saying that the Ares is a bad cable, it’s obviously an entry-level cable to the signature series. It brings noticeable improvements over the stock cable of my IE600. Personally used these cables with Softears RSV, IE600, 634Ears Loak-T(CL), CA Solaris, and Thieaudio Monarch MK2.

Reposting here from the DUNU Impressions Thread!!

Was unavailable for the last few days due to some mishappening in my personal life. Working on completing my review for the Kima and also the Cadmus+Eros S now, will post them in the next few days. I was trying it with my @EffectAudio Cadmus cable and my god the changes here are drastic on the Kima.

Some points that I feel upgraded with the Cadmus:-
>Bass punch feels tighter.
>Stage feels wider now.
>Upper mids are a bit hot, I will try different tips now.
>Overall tonally, Cadmus brings a better body throughout the frequency band and also improves the clarity a bit.

I was already impressed by the Kima, With my Cadmus, I feel it has improved for the better for me personally!!

Most definitely! Weird thing is i preferred going with stock on my fourte and now janus lives with my aural definition kyrios iem. Fourte with janus certainly made things very very wide and deep but also very airy yet i found myself wanting a bit more weight in the vocals which stock cable with n8 on tube mode gave me. Kyrios with janus on the other hand is a match made in heaven! It doubled the already weighty vocals of it while adding even more width and depth.

Yeah the eros s is a steal. Worked wonders with my ie900. I see that effect audio is still selling a set of refurbished janus at a good price on their site, maybe its time to grab 1. Would you say the main improvement is in the soundstage?

Depth, soundstage, note thickness, bass texture, airyness.
