I love the Edition 8, but find that the headphone band is just a little tight. Is it possible to order a pair with a larger size? Guess I must have a large brain!

The Edition8 headband comes only in the one size. The snugness provides more isolation from outside sound.

It appears that the metal "bar" runs all the way through the headband so it should be possible to gently bend/stretch the headband. I've done so successfully on my ESW9 but have had no need with my Ed8. And naturally if not done very carefully there is always the danger of damaging the phones.
