Too loud and too quiet. Interesting, LOL. It's always been fine for me with what would be over 95% of available IEMs or buds. Probably more. In fact, the original gain was good by be.

Not for me on the 8As . But I also heard the N3 is noticeably quieter than the N1 so that may be a reason. But when I had the 8As even on volume 1 (on Wooduo) it was too loud. I could use it on EQ Flat but it sounds like crap that way :p.

No N3 update yet?

I find EQ flat has the best sound, just a bit quiet at the moment

I just updated with the new FW. The biggest issue I had with the previous update is better. HSA is now again a preferred sound option. My thoughts on the last update is that when they raised the gain, HSA and WooDoo options may have acquired too much and were up against the bit ceiling. They now seem OK again. HSA2.0, HiFi and WooDoo sound quite good to me. I haven't used it enough to be sure but perhaps the gain is a tad less overall as HIFi now continues to increase volume to the top of the 32 step V control. I still wouldn't mind if HSA and WooDoo relative volumes were about equal to HiFi instead of a few notches higher. Flac bug may be better again but not completely fixed. Many songs don't miss a beat.

I've been trying to upgrade my firmware to test out HSA 2.0 for my Nova 1 , but I just cannot seem to get past this error. I'm on Windows 8 though, not sure whether does it matter.

I mentioned this a while ago, the driver doesn't work on WIndows 8. You need a Windows 7 or lower to get it to work.
