I was thinking about converting my current tube amp (kind of a Morgan Jones on steroids) in a triode SET amp. I'm mostly using my hd650 now and the 15k-600r gives a 7k5 load with 300r headphones and 5x voltage step down ratio. At first sight, that could work with the ecl84 I'm already using (the pentode section has rp of 3k and µ of 35 when triode strapped, using it alone) and maybe better yet with the 6f5p (rp under 800r, using the triode section as driver).
