Hmmm, so you never got one, yet you "know" they aren't very good quality...hmmm Also, Finder backers were not supposed to receive a t-shirt, unless they also backed the Explorer, or backed one of the combo's offering a shirt. If you want a shirt though @dlayman , I'm sure we could make something happen for ya if you asked nicely

I have to compliment Makethemusic for an extraordinary support and outstanding generosity.

As he had written, somebody could get a shirt if asked niclely i did so, because i love my Explorer due to the kind of craftmanship and sound signature ( i don't use wifi / Tidal etc. and use almost same sample rate for my music)
and.. he told me via PM i can get such a shirt.. a few days later my shirt arrived today in GERMANY.

The black T-Shirt doesn't feel cheap .. and for a give away it's really, really ok. size wise it is a little bit on the small side.. my L size is " slim fit" and fit's loke a glove.. but i like this.

So, for me, the Echobox experience is absolutely satisfying..

Actually I like Explorer in terms of sound. Yes it has a slow CPU and sometimes laggy UI, there was only 1 firmware update. But I really enjoy PCM1792 in this player.

does anyone have a 'tear down' video of this device. The headphone jack of mine broke, and I gave it to a dodgy Chinese iphone repaired who seems to have broken the connection between motherboard and touch screen. I need to see how i can fix the ribbon thread that connects the two. It's a great device, would love to extend it's usable life despite it being a failed product!
