I've been listening to my Denon DVD-2900 for a bit now and I'm astounded that I picked up a $1000 (in 2003) component for a piddly $153.09.

I think this is the best eBay deal I've ever made.

I'm putting this up for eBay DEAL OF THE YEAR.

What are some of the eBay bargains you have gotten? Post a link if you can.

Here's mine.

I'd love to see a post from one of the lucky eBayers that got a $1K+ pair of phones for $80.

And yes, my criminal career is just taking off but I hope to graduate to racketeering and grand larceny someday

On a side-note: wonder how much different the denon 2900 sounds from the modded Exemplar 2900 that I just purchased for a grand...

EDIT: I just fired up the Exemplar. I am pleased.

Best consistent deal of the year for DIYers:
Noble 31-Step 50k X Stereo Audio Volume Control - NOS - eBay (item 280312623339 end time Mar-13-09 21:48:24 PDT)

My best deal was my CD1000 for a buy it now of $95 including shipping back in October. Granted it took $50 in pads, $40 in lambskin + labor to cover the top of the headband and the head patch, then another $120 in materials for the cable.... Ok, so really it is a CD3000 with upgrades for $300 instead of $700-800. Ended up saving money because I sold all of the others.

Yeah - interesting I guess!

What about selling stuff?

A few years back I was rummaging through the 50 cent book bin at a Goodwill. I came across a coffee table book titled, "What is Scientology?" which looked interesting enough for 50 cents. So I took it home. Turned out it was from the late 1970s and had an autograph from L. Ron Hubbard himself inside!

I put it on eBay and got $202.

Please, no religious discussion here. I will add that the guy who bought it was incredibly nice.

I'm still happy with the deal I picked up today - a pair of Quad ESL-63 loudspeakers for $650!

Heck yeah Uncle, selling counts. That's awesome. Did Tom Cruise buy the book? Oh wait, you said he was nice, couldn't be Tom. LOL

I'd love to hear more from folks that made a sack-o-cash on garage sale stuff.

Good stuff so far. Keep it coming
